Eugene snapped a seven game losing streak in fine fashion, beating the Everett AquaSox 3-1 in seven innings.

Brailyn Marquez (1-1) picked up his first win in an Ems uniform and tied a career high in strikeouts with eight as he cruised through six innings of two hit, one run ball. His lone mistake was a homer in the fourth from Jake Anchia.
The Ems (6-10) got their own power when Nelson Velazquez launched his second homer of the year in the second. It was a no-doubt shot over the left centerfield wall and gave the Ems a 1-0 early lead.
The Ems then used a pair of pass balls with runners on third to score twice more. Kwang-Min Kwon scored in the fourth while Nico Hoerner scored in the sixth.
