After discussions with Northwest League officials and the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency, the Eugene Emeralds have decided to cancel tonight's Game 1 at PK Park of the Northwest League's 1st round playoff series against the Hillsboro Hops due to hazardous air quality conditions. Game 1 will be rescheduled for Wednesday evening, with first pitch scheduled at 7:05pm. Games 2 and 3 in Hillsboro have been pushed back to Thursday and Friday evening at Ron Tonkin Field.

"After long discussions with league officials, the Hillsboro Hops, and multiple health & weather agencies, we have determined that we simply cannot play a game in these conditions," said Allan Benavides, General Manager for the club. "Safety is of upmost concern to us, for our fans, our players, and our community. As a result, we have to cancel tonight's playoff game at PK Park."
According to the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency and the National Weather Service, the air quality warning is expected to be lifted at 4pm on Wednesday evening, creating playable conditions at PK Park for tomorrow's Game 1. Tickets can still be purchased at www.EmeraldsBaseball.com for just $10, with half of the ticket proceeds going to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. Fans who have already purchased tickets can still use those for Wednesday's game. With Good Karma Houston pricing, fans who purchase tickets at the box office can pay what they want in dollar increments, with half of the proceeds going to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.
