AquaSox Announce 2017 Schedule

AquaSox Open the 2017 Campaign at Home June 15th
September 16, 2016

EVERETT, Wash. - The Northwest League released its 2017 schedule with the Everett AquaSox beginning the league's 63rd season at Everett Memorial Stadium. The season marks the 33rd year that Everett has fielded a team in the NWL.

After reaching the post-season in 2015 and 2016, the AquaSox will look to make it for a third straight year under the guidance of the Seattle Mariners' Front Office, and Everett's coaching staff. Not only have the AquaSox performed well as a team, the Frogs had five players named as Mid-Season All-Stars for the NWL in 2016.

Everett will continue serve as a destination for future Mariners to grow and flourish. Also, Everett Memorial Stadium will continue to be a valuable asset to the Seattle Mariners as they send players on rehabilitation stints while keeping them in the Pacific Northwest.

The AquaSox will open the 2017 season at home for a five-game series against the Hillsboro Hops on Thursday, June 15th. After five games against the Hops, the AquaSox will travel to Vancouver and Tri-City for two three-game series. The AquaSox return home to take on Vancouver for three games beginning on Monday, June 26th and will then head back on the road for five games against the Hillsboro Hops. The AquaSox will return home for a seven game homestand just in time for a Fourth of July Celebration! They will take on the Tri-City Dust Devils for two games, then the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in a five-game series.

"We like the balance of the 2017 schedule," stated AquaSox General Manager Danny Tetzlaff, "We can't wait to create an outstanding promotional schedule for 2017!"

In the fifth season of the North-South Divisional alignment, the AquaSox will play two five-game series (one home, one road) against each team in the NWL South (Boise, Eugene, Hillsboro, and Salem-Keizer). The AquaSox will play a total of twelve games (six home, six road) against each North Division rival (Spokane, Tri-City, and Vancouver).

The AquaSox schedule will include 8 home games in the month of June, 15 home games in July, 15 home games in August, and no regular season home games in September. The first half of the season will end on Sunday, July 23rd with the regular season winding down on Sunday, September 3rd. All eight teams in the Northwest League will have a three-day All-Star Break, July 31st - August 2nd when the 2017 NWL All-Stars will play the Pioneer League All-Stars on Tuesday, August 1st at Ron Tonkin Field in Hillsboro, Oregon (home of the Hillsboro Hops).

Game times and promotions will be announced in the coming months. The AquaSox are currently accepting deposits for 2017 full season tickets, press box suite, picnics, and group outings. For more information, visit www.aquasox.com or call 425-258-3673.
