Everett, WA - The Everett AquaSox honored Harold Pyatte, Everett Merchants longtime Manager, by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch of the game in recognition of his 2017 Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame honor. The Merchants took an early lead with a three-run homerun in the top of the third giving the Merchants a 3-1 lead going into the fourth inning as the Frogs could only put one run on the board in the bottom of the third. However, the AquaSox took the lead during an explosive sixth inning, as five Frogs crossed plate.

RHP Cody Mobley started on the mound for the AquaSox and in the first inning, Mobley struck out Bryce Brandl while only allowing one hit by Connor O'Brian and allowing one walk to Luke Leonard. Brandon Mahovlich made quick work of the AquaSox as they went three up, three down in the bottom of the first. Mobley followed it up with his own three up, three down in the top of the second.

However, Brandl hit a three-run home run driving in both Luke Leonard and Austin Atwell with two outs in the top of the third while the Sox only scored one to close out the third inning.

Both teams went scoreless through the fourth. In the bottom of the fifth, Osmy Gregorio hit a fly ball allowing Juan Camacho to tag up and cross home in the fifth.

Still trailing 3-2 going into the bottom of sixth inning, the Frogs' bats finally started heating up with Onil Pena scoring Eugene Helder on a hit over the second baseman's head tying the game at three. With two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning, Gregorio, Joe Venturino and Austin Grebeck all earned themselves hits to center field, sending four more Frogs across the plate in the bottom of the sixth.

Anjul Hernandez struck out the side in the top of the ninth inning to close out the game and take home the seventh straight Everett Cup win for the AquaSox. The AquaSox defeated the Merchants 7-3.
