HOW IT HAPPENED

After four scoreless innings, the Canadians scored their first run in the top of the fifth when Zac Cook was hit by a pitch with bases loaded. The next at-bat, Tanner Morris drove in another run with a sacrifice fly to left field, immediately followed by an RBI single from Spencer Horwitz to put Vancouver up 3-0.

A fielding error allowed Philip Clarke to score the Canadians’ fourth run in the top of the sixth. Victor Labrada put the Frogs on the board in the bottom of the inning with a solo shot over the right-field fence. A wild pitch allowed Kennie Taylor to score, leaving the ‘Sox trailing 4-2.

In the top of the seventh, Cook tagged up to score on a flyout to right field, tacking on the Canadians’ fifth and final run.

WRAPPING IT UP

On the mound, starter Adam Hill pitched 5.2 innings, four of which were scoreless. At the plate, Tyler Keenan went 2-for-3 with one double and one walk.
