EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett AquaSox jumped ahead in the beginning of the game, taking the lead in the first inning and shutting out the Eugene Emeralds, 8-0.

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett AquaSox jumped ahead in the beginning of the game, taking the lead in the first inning and shutting out the Eugene Emeralds, 8-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
RBI singles from Cade Marlowe and Juan Camacho in the bottom of the first gave the 'Sox an early 3-0 lead. Eugene held the Frogs until the third when Robert Perez crushed a three-run homer, driving in Connor Hoover and Patrick Frick. Before the end of the inning, Camacho hit a sacrifice fly to center field, allowing Trent Tingelstad to score the seventh run of the game.
After a wild pitch, Utah Jones scored in the fourth inning, putting the AquaSox ahead of the Emeralds, 8-0. The Emeralds held the Frogs the rest of the game but were unable to score themselves, falling 8-0.
WRAPPING IT UP
At the plate, the AquaSox registered eight hits with seven RBIs. On the mound, starting pitcher Deivy Florido completed eight innings, giving up only four hits while striking out six. Ivan Fortunato closed the game, allowing one hit in the top of the ninth.
