COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - Mother nature got the best of the Round Rock Express and Colorado Springs Sky Sox for the second night in row as Wednesday's doubleheader at Security Service Field has been postponed due to rain. Tuesday night's contest was postponed due to wet grounds following heavy rains during the day.
The two teams will meet in a day-night doubleheader on Thursday, August 10. Start time for game one is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CST while game two is slated to begin at 7:40 p.m. CST. Each of the contests will be seven innings in length.
Express RHP Tyler Wagner (3-9, 6.46) is slated to face Sky Sox RHP Junior Guerra (1-1, 3.18) in game one. The second contest is set to feature Round Rock RHP Clayton Blackburn (5-2, 4.95) against Colorado Springs RHP Paolo Espino (4-1, 3.72).
With Thursday being the last day the Express visit Colorado Springs this season, the fourth and final game of the series will be made up in Round Rock on a date to be determined during the series between the two teams from August 28-31.
The E-Train returns to Dell Diamond on Saturday, August 19 following a 12-day roadtrip against Colorado Springs, Oklahoma City and New Orleans.
