Express to Host "Bark in the Park" Night

ROUND ROCK, Texas - For the second straight season, Dell Diamond will be home to not only some hard-thrown sliders, but some big-time slobberers as well during "Bark in the Park" presented by Premier Animal Hospital. Fans are invited to bring their furry pals to the stadium on April 25 when the Round Rock Express take on the Albuquerque Isotopes at 7:05 p.m.

The game will feature "paw-lenty" of dog-themed activities, including a pre-game parade, costume contest and much more. Those wishing to take in a ballgame with their "best friend" will be able to do so for just $10 (includes entry for owner and his/her dog).

When the gates of Dell Diamond open at 5:30 p.m., fans and their four-legged friends will pack the left and right field berms. Blue Dog Rescue will be the Chasco Community Partner of the night and will be on-hand to educate fans on their organization. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales for the night will also benefit the non-profit. Blue Dog Rescue is a volunteer organization dedicated to ending the needless killing of homeless dogs. Also on-hand will be Emily Phillips, a foster volunteer, for a pre-game interview to discuss the organizations mission and direction.

Prior to the game, fans will be able to parade their dogs on the warning track as well as participate in a baseball-themed costume contest. The top three dogs with the best baseball costumes will receive a special gift from Premier Animal Hospital.

All participants must use the right field gate for entrance and advanced registration is required (walk-ups will not be accepted on event day). All orders must be completed in advance and registered by Monday, April 22.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times (six-foot maximum length) and children with dogs must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older at all times. All dogs must have current rabies vaccination and owners must promptly bag and dispose of any waste created by their dog.

Round Rock will begin a four-game series against the Oklahoma City RedHawks tomorrow night before returning home for an eight-game, nine-day home stand to include the New Orleans Zephyrs (April 20-23) and the Albuquerque Isotopes (April 25-28).
