Roswell Rockets
The Roswell Rockets were members of the Longhorn League from 1949-55 and the Southwestern League in 1956. The club was named in tribute to the city's role as host to much of Robert H. Goddard's early rocketry work. The Rockets are most remembered for Joe Bauman's epic 72-home run season in 1954.
