The New Hampshire Fisher Cats currently sit at the top of the Eastern League and are led by three very talented hitters. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette and Cavan Biggio learned how to hit from their All-Star fathers but are mastering their craft in the Eastern League.
Guerrero Jr. signed with the Toronto Blue Jays on June 2nd, 2015 and is only 19 years old. Guerrero is one of the youngest Double A players but is hitting like a veteran. He has a .361 average with 2 home runs, 4 double and a league leading 12 RBI.
Bichette was drafted in the 2nd round of the June 2016 draft by Toronto and has mirrored the climb of Guerrero. Bichette is 20 years old and like Guerrero it is not impacting his play. Bichette is hitting .350 with 2 doubles, 1 triple, 4 RBI and a league leading 14 hits.
Biggio is the elder of the trio, age 23, and was drafted in the 5th round of the June 2016 draft out of the University of Notre Dame. Biggio decided to go to college and being drafted by the Phillies in the 29th round of the June 2013 draft. Biggio is having a productive season with 6 RBI, 1 home run, 4 runs and a league leading 4 doubles.
The first time they come to FirstEnergy Stadium is April 20th-22nd and they will face off against the Fightins' top pitching prospect: JoJo Romero, Ranger Suárez, Franklyn Kilomé, and Seranthony Domínguez. See them now before they face off in the big leagues for many years to come!
