Promo Preview: Human Cannonball to Launch on 8/8

David "The Bullet" Smith makes return in 2014 to amaze Baseballtown
February 8, 2014

Baseballtown will once again blast off in 2014 when the Human Cannonball, David "The Bullet" Smith, returns to FirstEnergy Stadium on Friday, August 8th thanks to All Star Distributing.

For nearly two decades, Smith has been electrifying crowds as a human cannonball. He has performed over 500 cannon shots around the globe.

As part of his death-defying feat on August 8th, Smith will project himself over 150 feet out of his world-famous 35-foot-long cannon directly from centerfield to home plate.

Since he was a child, Smith has been surrounded by the human cannonball business. His father, David "Cannonball" Smith, Sr., originated the dazzling feat and set the Guinness world record with a 201-foot shot over two Ferris Wheels.

The younger Smith has made waves nationally in recent years with his touring act, appearing on NBC's "America's Got Talent", CNN, ESPN, and ABC News. He currently holds the world record for longest human cannonball flight.

Tickets for this and the rest of the 2014 slate of games are available online at Fightins.com, by phone at 610-370-BALL, or by stopping at the Fightin Phils Box Office at FirstEnergy Stadium.
