Manchester, NH - Behind another strong start from Ryan Borucki, the Fisher Cats shut out the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) 3-0 to clinch the series win on Thursday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
In his third Double-A start, Borucki (W, 1-1) held the top-scoring Baysox offense without a run in seven innings. He scattered six hits, struck out seven batters and walked none. The Blue Jays No. 14 prospect (MLB.com) has now allowed just one run in his first 21 Double-A innings. New Hampshire scored all three runs in the fifth.
Tim Lopes lined a one-out single to left, and scored from first when Emilio Guerrero ripped a double off the right center field wall. Gunnar Heidt reached on an error, and two batters later Richard Ureña plated two runs with a double of his own to make it 3-0. Including a single in the first, Urena was the only hitter on either side to finish with multiple hits.

Francisco Rios (H, 1) tossed a hitless eighth inning, and Carlos Ramirez followed with a perfect ninth (S, 2). New Hampshire did its damage against Baysox starter David Hess (L, 8-8), although he was only charged with one earned run.
The homestand continues with the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) coming to town for a three-game series starting Friday night. Fans can enjoy live music and Atlas Fireworks on Friday and Saturday, with Harry Potter Day on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. For tickets and information, visit NHFisherCats.com.
