LAKELAND, Fla. (Aug. 19, 2018) - Tucker Davidson fired in 7.1 shutout frames against the Lakeland Flying Tigers on Sunday afternoon, propelling the Florida Fire Frogs to a 5-0 victory to close out the three-game weekend set at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. The shutout was the 10th of the season posted by Fire Frogs pitching.

Davidson (7-10) scattered just three hits through his outing, and did not issue a walk on the day. The Atlanta Braves' 23rd-ranked prospect (MLB.com) struck out six through his career-high innings pitched.
Daysbel Hernandez tossed the final 1.2 innings out of the bullpen, and retired all five batters he faced.
Florida (18-34, 47-71) started the scoring without the benefit of a hit in the second. Jordan Rodgers (1x3, R, RBI, BB) drew a free pass against Gregory Soto (7-7) to start the frame, and moved up to second on a wild pitch to Kurt Hoekstra (0x4). The runner advanced to third on a groundout by Hoekstra, and scored on a wild pitch to Isranel Wilson (0x4).
The visitors broke the game open with a four-spot in the third to open a five-run advantage.
After Marcus Mooney (1x4) struck out to start things off, Drew Waters (2x4, R, 2B) doubled down the line in right, and scored when Riley Delgado (1x5, R) reached on an error to extend the lead to 2-0.
CJ Alexander (3x4, R, BB) walked to put runners on the corners for William Contreras (1x5, R, RBI), who stroked a single to left to bring home Delgado for the three-run advantage, and Rodgers smacked a single back through the box to score Alexander.
A passed ball to Greyson Jenista (0x3, RBI) plated moved runners up to second and third, and the batter served a sacrifice fly out to left to cap off the four-run frame.
Delgado extended his on-base streak to 11 games with a single in the seventh inning. The 23-year-old is batting .400 (18-for-45) since the streak began on Aug. 9.
Florida will take part in the league-wide off day on Monday before returning to action on Tuesday night for game one of a three-game set against the Jupiter Hammerheads at Osceola County Stadium.
