KISSIMMEE, FL: RHP Jasseel De La Cruz tossed the first no-hitter in Fire Frogs history on Saturday night at Osceola County Stadium in a 12-0 triumph over the Jupiter Hammerheads.

It took the 21-year-old just 89 pitches to achieve the historic feat. He faced 29 batters, two over the minimum, allowed two walks, and added four strikeouts.
This was the fourth shutout of the season for the Fire Frogs, their third at the Pond.
Florida pounded out a season-high 18 hits to back their starter's nearly perfect performance. Kevin Josephina went perfect at the plate, going 5-5 with 2 RBIs on the night.
The scoring started in the third. William Contreras knocked in Jordan Rodgers to make it 1-0.
A four-run fourth followed. Jefrey Ramos smashed a 422-foot bomb over the fence in left-center, his fifth of the season, to leadoff the inning. Garrison Schwartz, Rodgers, and Brett Langhorne all notched run-producing hits to extend the advantage to 5-0.
Rusber Estrada reached on a fielding error in the fifth, scoring Josephina, to make it 6-0.
The seventh inning saw Ramos and Josephina drive in Contreras and Greyson Jenista with singles. Schwartz drove in Ramos with his second RBI two-base hit of the night. A Rodgers sacrifice fly rounded out the inning and moved the Fire Frogs into double figures; 10-0.
Josephina kept chugging with another RBI knock in the eighth. Estrada also plated Jenista with a fly ball to the outfield to finish the scoring.
Jupiter's LHP Will Stewart (1-4) was saddled with the loss, tossing five innings and yielding ten hits, five earned runs, and a walk. The Fire Frogs touched up RHP Elkin Alcala and RHP Chad Smith for a combined six earned runs over the final four stanzas.
NEXT UP: Florida seeks a series victory on Sunday afternoon at Osceola County Stadium. LHP Hayden Deal (2-2, 1.30) takes on RHP Jordan Holloway (2-1, 1.80) in another excellent pitching matchup at Noon. Enjoy a BBQ Basket, $5 margaritas, and $5 Coronas with us at the park.
