KISSIMMEE, Fla. (May 16, 2017) - The Florida Fire Frogs were held off the scoreboard for a second consecutive night on Tuesday, falling to the Tampa Yankees, 3-0. The Fire Frogs have not scored a run since the second inning against the Lakeland Flying Tigers on May 13, spanning 25 innings.

Tampa (18-21) plated all of its run in the third against Drew Harrington (4-3). The visitors started the inning with back-to-back singles from Sharif Othman and Jorge Mateo, before Kyle Holder drew a walk to load the bases.
Tito Polo grounded into a fielder's choice to third, erasing Othman at home, but leaving the bases full of Yankees for Chris Gittens, who was hit by a pitch in the foot to force across the go-ahead run. Trey Amburgey banged a double off the glove of Austin Riley at third, bringing in Holder and Polo for the second and third runs of the frame.
Harrington intentionally walked Nick Solak to load the bases, and struck out Jhalan Jackson for the second out. The southpaw retired Mandy Alvarez on a grounder to third to end the inning.
The product of Louisville lasted five innings in game two of the four-game set, allowing the three runs on five hits, four walks and four strikeouts. Tuesday was the first time since April 13 Harrington had allowed more than two runs in a game (six starts).
Andres Santiago made his return to the mound for Florida (18-21) on Tuesday. The 27-year-old recorded four strikeouts, allowed one hit and issued one free pass in three innings. The outing was the third time in five relief appearances the right-hander had struck out four batters.
Sean McLaughlin tossed the ninth, allowing one hit and picking up one punchout.
Josh Rogers (3-3) flirted with trouble all night long, but still managed to toss a season-high, eight innings in the winning effort. The left-hander gave up a lead-off double to Anfernee Seymour (1x4, 2B) to start the game, but Ray-Patrick Didder (0x3) bounced into a double play to end the early threat.
The Fire Frogs put two more men on base in the second, before Wigberto Nevarez (0x4) flew out to center and J.B. Moss (0x3) grounded out to short to end the frame.
Florida put the first two runners on in the ninth against Jose Mesa Jr. (SV, 1), but still could not manage to push a run across. The right-hander struck out Nevarez and Tyler Neslony (0x1), and set down Alejandro Salazar (1x4, 3B) on a grounder to third to end the game.
On the night, Florida put the lead-off man on base seven times, but finished 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position, and left nine men on base.
Florida's bats will look to break loose in game three of the four-game set on Wednesday night at Osceola County Stadium. The Fire Frogs will send out LHP Ricardo Sánchez (2-3, 2.55), while the Yankees have RHP Taylor Widener (1-4, 4.13) going on the mound. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m., with coverage starting at 6:50 p.m. on the Florida Fire Frogs Broadcasting Network.
Game three at Osceola County Stadium will be Wine(d) Up Wednesday at the ballpark, where fans can enjoy $3 wine. Wednesday will also be Service Industry Night, where members of the service industry can purchase tickets at the gate for a discounted rate.
