Time is running out on catching the Richmond Flying Squirrels for the 2017 season. Entering the homestand on Tuesday, only 17 Squirrels dates remain! The Squirrels have FUNN covered this week with free hats, fireworks and a kickoff for the Hokie's season on Virginia Tech Nigh
Tuesday, August 8
Why not a Tip of the Cap Tuesday to tip off this action-packed homestand? SF Giants themed caps to the first 1,000 fans (15 & up) presented by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. Tuesday is also the Flying Squirrels annual Tribute to the Peanut Night with the VA Peanut Growers Association. What would a ballpark be without peanuts and Cracker Jacks? Bring a jar or jars of peanut butter to donate to Feed More! Fans who bring peanur butter will be entered to win prizes from the VA Peanut Growers Association. Wednesday, August 9
You might be running out of chances to try the Flying Squirrels famous wine slushies on happy hour! Wine up Wednesday presented by Edward Jones will feature wine specials from 530-7:30 p.m. Wednesday is also Fredericksburg Community Night with a celebration of community leaders and businesses from the Fredericksburg area. Thursday, August 10
Only six more fireworks shows remain in the 2017 season! Five more after these In-Your-Face Fireworks get shot off on Thursday, August 10 presented by Steak 'n Shake. It's also Faith Night #2 presented by Puritan Cleaners. The red-hot Flying Squirrels wrap up the three game series against the Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox) at 6:35 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m.
Friday, August 11
It's no secret the Flying Squirrels enjoy giving away free stuff and Friday's are no exception. Join us for an "Augtoberfest" edition of Free Shirt Friday & Happy Hour! Free T-shirts to the first 1,000 fans (21 & up) with happy hour specials from 6-8 p.m. with K95. Octoberfest arrives a tad early at The Diamond with $5.50 bratwurts specials throughout the game! Saturday, August 12
For starters, one ticket gets you two games for this Saturday night doubleheader showdown. Game one will begin at 5:05 p.m. and the second game will start approximately 30 minutes after the first contest wraps up. Sunday August 13
Peanut Free Game with AUVI-Q (Epinephrine Injection USP) to keep fans with peanut allergies at the game! Its Oscar Day at The Diamond, the first 1,000 fans (all ages) will receive a golden Oscar statue in the likeness of Nutzy. The homestand concludes on Sunday with Brunch & Baseball! Kids club members receive free entry and fans can play catch on the field before the game from 11:15-11:35 a.m. Brunch specials available throughout the park and Kids Run the Bases following the game.
