Franchise-Record 24 Firework Displays Scheduled for 2013

RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the 2012 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants, begin a week-long unveiling of their 2013 Promotional Calendar with the announcement of 24 Fireworks Extravaganzas to take place at The Diamond during the 2013 regular season. The slate of Fireworks shows includes Opening Night 2013 on April 4th, and three consecutive displays to celebrate Independence Day (July 4th - July 6th). The highly-popular Thursday Night Fireworks Series will return for 2013, and will be joined by the newly-created Saturday Night Fireworks Series.

Each of the Flying Squirrels' 10 Thursday home games will feature a Fireworks display, as will 10 of the 11 Saturday home games. The lone Saturday game without Fireworks (May 18th) will possibly be even more explosive however, with the return of the Human Cannonball to Richmond. The Squirrels will also host four shows on Friday nights, and the entirety of the 24-game Fireworks calendar will take place Thursday-Saturday.

"Fireworks continue to be one of our most popular draws, so we have beefed up the number of the shows to match that enthusiasm from our fans."

Single-game tickets for the 2013 season of Flying Squirrels baseball will go on sale at 9 am on Saturday, March 2nd. Tickets will be available for the first time at the 2013 Flying Squirrels Fan Fest & Camp Expo, which will take place at The Diamond from 9 AM - 12 PM. Single-game tickets will be available on-line at SquirrelsBaseball.com beginning at 10 AM.
