Promotional Calendar: Giveaway Items
The first giveaway of the season will occur on April 5th, and will pay tribute to the Giants' 2012 World Series title. As the Squirrels hold World Series Night, they will hand out The Brandons Bobblehead, featuring the likeness of both Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford. Both players spent time in Richmond before starring for the Giants during their title run. The two additional bobbleheads will feature iconic coaches from the state of Virginia. VCU Basketball Coach Shaka Smart will have a bobblehead on May 17th, while Virginia Tech Football Coach Frank Beamer Bobblehead Night is scheduled for July 19th.
"We are really excited about our lineup of bobbleheads this season," said Flying Squirrels' Vice President & COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "We definitely wanted to pay tribute to what the Giants did last season with a local touch, and also wanted to acknowledge some of the great figures we are fortunate to share the region with."
The highly-popular Sunday Kids Giveaway Series continues in 2013 with a brand new lineup of outstanding items. Throughout the season, kids 14 & under will receive; Toboggan Hats (April 7th), Slap Watches (April 21st), Squirrels Bats (May 5th), Road to the Show Card Sets (May 19th), Coloring Comic Books (June 2nd), Mascot Innertubes (July 7th), Snow Globes (July 21st), Parker Piggy Banks (August 4th), Sunglasses (August 25th) and Lunch Bags (August 25th).
"Kids are at the core of everything that we do," added Parnell. "We've really tried to put together a comprehensive list of Funn items for them to collect at the ballpark this year."

Single-game tickets for the 2013 season of Flying Squirrels baseball will go on sale at 9 am on Saturday, March 2nd. Tickets will be available for the first time at the 2013 Flying Squirrels Fan Fest & Camp Expo, which will take place at The Diamond from 9 AM - 12 PM. Single-game tickets will be available on-line at SquirrelsBaseball.com beginning at 10 AM.
