The Flying Squirrels are on their way back from their first road trip of the season and are ready for some more baseball at The Diamond. The team and staff on the Boulevard are ready for another homestand…are you?! We have a lot planned for fans this week and we could not be more excited! Fireworks, free t-shirt giveaways, another Bark in the Park and Sunday Brunch and Baseball are just a few FUNN events taking place at The Diamond this homestand.
Friday, April 21st
Come on down to The Diamond this Friday to get your free "Renovating Richmond's Recreation" T-shirt! This t-shirt will go to the first 1,000 fans 15 and older. We're also hosting our first Reading Night of the season. Quench your thirst while you're at The Diamond with our happy hour from 6-8pm with $1.95 beverages (presented by K95) all around the ballpark! This is the first game of a six day homestand so let's welcome the team back by filling up The Diamond! Kids 14 and younger can run the bases following the game. Saturday, April 22nd
It's VCU Night at The Diamond! All you Rams fans and students be sure to make an appearance for what is sure to be an exciting night. First pitches will be thrown out by VCU basketball players JeQuan Lewis, Doug Brooks and Torey Burston. Kick off your Saturday night with some baseball at The Diamond and hang around after the game for In-Your-Face-Fireworks. Kids 14 and younger can run the bases following the fireworks! Sunday, April 23rd
What's better than Brunch and Baseball? The answer is nothing! Wake up Sunday morning and make your way to The Diamond for some delicious brunch items throughout the stadium! The first 1,000 fans 14 and younger will receive a special waffle mascot cap! Kids can play catch on the field from 11:15 a.m. to 11:35 a.m. as well as run the bases following the game! Monday, April 24th
Dogs of all breeds, shapes, sizes and colors love to play catch. So do we! Bring your fluffy friends to The Diamond on Monday night for our second Bark in the Park. The first 250 dogs and their owners will receive a Flying Squirrels dog leash presented by the Department of Public Utilities! Tuesday, April 25th
It's time for the second installment of Tip of the Cap Tuesday! The first 1,000 fans 15 and older will receive a free digicam camo cap presented by Virginia Putative Father Registry. Wednesday, April 26th
Time to celebrate our young scholars in the greater Richmond area! Break out your thinking caps for Education Day featuring the Warning Track Takeover Driven by AAA. Mad Science of Central Virginia will also be in attendance for some pregame entertainment as well as meteorologists from ABC 8. Join us to cheer on the Squirrels in the final game of the home stand before they head out on the road! Our usual Wine Wednesday specials will take place.
