FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The TinCaps' 2017 home opener on Saturday, April 8 is almost here, but fans can meet the team and visit Parkview Field even sooner.
The TinCaps will host their annual Parkview Field Open House on Saturday, April 1 (11 a.m.-1 p.m.). Free behind-the-scenes tours will be available to showcase the venue that has been rated as Minor League Baseball's best ballpark experience for three consecutive years and five of the last six.
Many of Parkview Field's fan-favorite food and beverage menu items will be available on Saturday at 50-percent off regular prices. Kids can also play for free in the Shindigz FUN ZONE, while The Orchard Team Store will be open with the latest gear and apparel choices of 2017 available for purchase.
Parkview Field's Ticket Office will be open during the Open House, too. Tickets for Opening Day and the entire 2017 season will be available for purchase. Season ticket options are also available, including 12-game, 17-game, half-season, and full-season ticket packages. Additionally, the TinCaps will have their Meet the Team Night on Wednesday, April 5. More details, including event time, will be available soon. (The team's roster will be announced by the San Diego Padres by April 2.)
The TinCaps officially kick off the franchise's 25th season on the road Thursday, April 6, against the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Tampa Bay Rays) in Bowling Green, Ky. Fort Wayne's home opener is slated for Saturday, April 8 (6:05 p.m.) against the Hot Rods at Parkview Field. Fans in attendance on Opening Night will receive a free TinCaps Magnet Schedule and be treated to a fireworks show after the game.
