Podorsky Goes 5-For-5 in TinCaps Win
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Left fielder Robbie Podorsky went off on Friday night at Parkview Field to help the TinCaps win the series opener against the Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers), 5-2.

The bottom of the third saw more action from Podorsky. After a leadoff triple to the left-field corner, he scored when center fielder Jeisson Rosario hit a sacrifice fly to center field, giving the TinCaps a 2-1 advantage.

The TinCaps were able to break it open in the bottom of the eighth. With two outs, Podorsky singled on a bunt attempt, scoring right fielder
Podorsky capped off his incredible night with a diving grab in the bottom of the ninth to help preserve the 5-2 lead.
TinCaps starting pitcher Luis Patiño went four innings, allowing one run on four hits. He struck out five batters. Patiño is the second youngest pitcher in the Midwest League at just 18 years old.
After middle relief from Korey Anderson (two innings) and Fred Schlichtholz (1 2/3 innings), Evan Miller earned the save-his second of the season-by recording the final four outs.
With the win, the TinCaps continued their home success, as they improved to 19-14 at Parkview Field this season. Friday night was the first of 10 straight at home for Fort Wayne.
