FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The TinCaps pounded out 14 hits Sunday afternoon as they defeated the Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers), 7-4, at Parkview Field on Father's Day. With the win, Fort Wayne completed a three-game sweep over the Loons to finish 32-37 in the first half of the season.

Six TinCaps recorded multi-hit games including a 2-for-3 performance from Luis Campusano who chipped in two RBIs and scored three runs. Campusano was at first base (rather than catcher or DH) for just the second time this season.
Great Lakes (24-44) scored early in the top of the first inning with a double and an RBI infield single. However, Fort Wayne responded in the bottom of the frame. With two outs, right fielder Tirso Ornelas singled, followed by an RBI double from Campusano, an RBI single from second baseman Justin Lopez , and an RBI single from shortstop Gabriel Arias to put the TinCaps in front, 3-1.
In the third, the Loons got a run back in the top half before Fort Wayne added to its lead in the bottom. With Campusano at third and Lopez at second, Arias hit a fly ball deep enough to left field to advance Campusano home and Lopez to third to put the TinCaps ahead, 4-2. Catcher Juan Fernandez followed with an RBI single to left field to score Lopez and give Fort Wayne a 5-2 advantage.
The Loons bounced back with an RBI single from Mitchell Hansen in the fourth and an RBI single from Eric Peterson in the fifth to slim the margin at 5-4.
The TinCaps answered again with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth. After a lead-off double, Campusano drove in Ornelas with a line-drive single to left field. A single from Arias sent Campusano from first to third where he scored on a wild pitch with Fernandez at the plate to put Fort Wayne in front for good, 7-4.
Relivers Ben Sheckler and Evan Miller combined to toss 4 1/3 innings, allowing just three hits, no runs, and striking out seven.
Now, the TinCaps have a three-day break for the All-Star Game, which will take place Tuesday, June 19, in Lansing, Mich. Campusano, starting pitchers Aaron Leasher and Nick Margevicius , and reliever Travis Radke will represent Fort Wayne in the All-Star Game.
