FREDERICK, MD -The Frederick Keys are excited to host their annual holiday event this upcoming Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Once again, this year's event will take place in the Mattress Warehouse Club, located on the second level of Nymeo Field and is FREE to the public. Fans of all ages are encouraged to attend.

Keyote Claus will make a quick trip from the North Pole to take pictures and visit with fans of all ages, while kids can enjoy a special coloring station. For the second straight year, the ugly sweater contest returns. Prizes will be handed out to those who wear the ugliest/most absurd sweaters.

"It was a hoot to see some of the super tacky sweaters from last year's holiday event," said Keys Director of Marketing, Erin Lawson with a laugh. "To go along with a chance to buy Keys gear, enjoy some cookies and see Keyote Claus, this yearly event has become one of the more fun things to do in Frederick County to get ready for the holiday season."

Bakers are encouraged to bring their favorite holiday treats as part of the yearly CooKEY contest. Those who participate will be eligible to win a prize. Free hot cocoa and coffee will be available as well.

Fans looking to do some shopping, will have a chance to purchase Keys gear and 2020 ticket plans will also be available for purchase. Any ticket plan includes the choice of a John Means bobblehead or a Keys pennant.

The Keys kickoff their season on Thursday, April 9.
