Doug E. Doug and Corbin Bernsen Highlight Weekend of Appearances

Fireworks Follow Friday and Saturday Games

FREDERICK, MD-The Frederick Keys feature a ton of great celebrity appearances in May and the fun kicks off during Mother's Day weekend from Friday, May 11-Sunday, May 13. Doug E. Doug who played Sanka Coffie in Cool Runnings is first to stop in, while Corbin Bernsen comes the night after as part of Major League Night. Bernsen portrayed third baseman Roger Dorn in the film. Friday's game is at 7:00 p.m and gates open one hour prior, as the Keys battle their Beltway rival, the Potomac Nationals. When fans arrive, they can meet and get autographs from Doug E. Doug, who will be in attendance for Cool Runnings Night. Doug, who played Sanka Coffie in the film, will be signing from 6-8 p.m. After the game fans can enjoy fireworks sponsored by Frederick Magazine. Those attending are encouraged to vote on what musical accompaniment they would like to hear, as Friday will be the second "Fan Vote Fireworks" of 2018.


Outside of Cool Runnings, Doug has played roles ranging from Agent Zeke Kelso in That Darn Cat, Bernie in the animated film Shark Tale as well as small screen roles on The Cosby Show, Law and Order and Law and Order SVU.


Bernsen highlights Major League Night and will be signing autographs starting at 5 pm on Saturday, May 12. Gametime is at 6:00 p.m, while fans can enjoy Major League-themed games and movie clips throughout the evening. Saturday is also Down Syndrome Awareness Night and the first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a floppy hat giveaway presented by Ava's T21 Foundation and Bray and Scarff. Fireworks follow the game.


A two-time Golden Globe nominee, Bernsen also starred as Arnie Becker on L.A. Law, one of the top legal sitcoms of all-time. Other TV credits for Bernsen include JAG, The Young and the Restless, General Hospital, Psych and The Cape.


The series concludes on Sunday at 2:00 p.m with Mother's Day. There will be a special brunch in the Mattress Warehouse Club, plus it is a Sunday Funday. Fans can take part in a catch in the outfield from 1-1:30 and get autographs from two Keys players on the concourse.
