Keys to Wear Special Caps on July 3

FREDERICK, MD-Following a quick post all-star break trip to the Roanoke Valley, the Keys are back at Nymeo Field until Tuesday, July 3. Highlights include Redneck Weekend with an appearance by WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall and a Longbow Bundy Bobblehead. The Keys will also celebrate Independence Day with a hat auction on July 3, plus there will be four fireworks shows. For tickets fans can call the Keys at 301-815-9939 or visit frederickkeys.com.


The weekend fun begins on Friday, June 29 when the Keys take on the Winston-Salem Dash at 7:00 p.m (gates open at 6). An evening that will be packed with fun, it is Wrestling Night and features an appearance by WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall. He will throw out a first pitch, meet fans and sign autographs from 6-8 p.m.


To go along with meeting a wrestling icon, the first 1,000 patrons receive a "Longbow Bundy" bobblehead. Presented by Flying Dog Brewery, this depicts the former Key and current Orioles pitcher, Dylan Bundy, taking part in one of his favorite hobbies. Fireworks follow the game sponsored by Flying Dog Brewery.


Saturday's contest is at 6:00 p.m against the Lynchburg Hillcats and the Keys will be celebrating Christmas in June. There will be a variety of Christmas-themed games and features throughout the night, while fans can purchase tickets to the Christmas in June Dinner in the Mattress Warehouse Club. For $32 attendees receive a delicious all-you-can eat buffet of stuffed Christmas Turkey, mashed potatoes, hot buttered corn, pumpkin pie and much more.


Additionally, the Christmas in June dinner comes with unlimited coffee, iced tea and Pepsi products. To book a spot, fans can call the Keys Groups office at 301-815-9900. More fireworks follow the game, sponsored by Rentals Unlimited.


Sunday, July 1 is a day game, beginning at 2 o'clock and gates open one hour before first pitch. Redneck Weekend concludes with Ode to Denim Day and it is a Sunday Funday. From 1-1:30 fans can have a catch in the outfield and get player autographs.


The Keys conclude their nine-game homestand on Monday and Tuesday. Games both nights begin at 7:00 p.m and gates open at 6. On Monday, the team celebrates America's Real Independence Day. This includes postgame fireworks presented by Tops Inc. It is also a Kids Eat Free night, sponsored by Key 103 and Buffalo Wild Wings.


On Tuesday, the Keys celebrate the Fourth of July one day early. Keys players and coaches will wear special patriotic caps. These will be auctioned off during the game with proceeds going towards the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes. Postgame fireworks are presented by Magic Mountain Chimney Sweeps.
