FREDERICK, MD-The Frederick Keys (40-48, 5-14) defeated the Wilmington Blue Rocks (39-47, 8-8) 4-2 on Monday night at Nymeo Field. In the contest, Yojhan Quevedo drove in two runs, his fourth multi-RBI contest of the year.

Frederick jumped out to an early lead in the second. Jake Ring collected a one-out double and advanced to third on a wild pitch. He then scored on a Quevedo double to make it 1-0.

The 1-0 lead stood until the fourth inning. For the second straight game, an opposing team hit back-to-back home runs. D.J. Burt led off with his first homer of the year, while Emmanuel Rivera followed with his fourth. The two home runs allowed marked the most that Matthias Dietz allowed in a game in his career.

The Keys would tie up the game, however, in the bottom of the frame. With one out, Ring walked. Two batters later, Alejandro Juvier hit a double to right-center field that scored Ring from first.

It remained a 2-2 game until the sixth. Following a Chris Clare double, Ring walked to set up Quevedo. He then singled to left field to score Clare and give the Keys the lead. The Keys would add another run in the seventh. Preston Palmeiro started the frame with a single, and moved to third on a Wilson Garcia single. Randolph Gassaway then drove in Palmeiro with a double.

Tyler Erwin escaped trouble in the top of the eighth, as the Blue Rocks threatened with the bases loaded. He induced a double play off the bat of Rudy Martin to end the frame. Erwin then fired a perfect ninth inning to earn his ninth save.

Firing two scoreless innings, Matt Trowbridge (3-1) picked up the win. After allowing a double to lead off the seventh, he retired the next three batters including two strikeouts. Josh Mitchell (2-1) took the loss for the Blue Rocks. He allowed two runs over two innings while walking one and striking out one. Dietz allowed two runs on four hits over five frames.

The Keys and Blue Rocks continue their series on Tuesday night. Chris Tillman (0-0,--) is scheduled to make the start for the Keys on a Major League rehab assignment. He will match up against Blue Rocks right-hander Nolan Watson (1-1,5.63). First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m., and the game can be heard on frederickkeys.com and the TuneIn Radio app. For tickets, fans can call 301-815-9939 or visit frederickkeys.com.
