FREDERICK, MD-The Frederick Keys are excited to announce that Orioles starting pitcher, Chris Tillman , is scheduled to pitch at Nymeo Field on Tuesday night against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m. Tillman becomes the fifth Orioles player to rehab with the Keys in 2018 joining Colby Rasmus , Darren O'Day , Zach Britton and Jonathan Schoop .
Tillman, 30, has been on the disabled list since May 11 with a lower back strain. Tuesday is slated to be the right-hander's fifth rehab outing. In four starts between Triple-A Norfolk, Low-A Delmarva and Short-Season Aberdeen Tillman is 0-2 with an 8.40 ERA (15 IP/14ER). During this time, he has walked eight and struck out six while allowing 23 hits.
In Tillman's most recent outing with Norfolk last Thursday, the right-hander suffered the loss, surrendering four runs on nine hits in six innings against Gwinnett. Each of his last two starts have come with the Tides.
