FREDERICK, MD-The Frederick Keys are excited to announce that Orioles starting pitcher, Chris Tillman , is scheduled to pitch at Nymeo Field on Tuesday night against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m. Tillman becomes the fifth Orioles player to rehab with the Keys in 2018 joining Colby Rasmus , Darren O'Day , Zach Britton and Jonathan Schoop .

Tillman, 30, has been on the disabled list since May 11 with a lower back strain. Tuesday is slated to be the right-hander's fifth rehab outing. In four starts between Triple-A Norfolk, Low-A Delmarva and Short-Season Aberdeen Tillman is 0-2 with an 8.40 ERA (15 IP/14ER). During this time, he has walked eight and struck out six while allowing 23 hits.

In Tillman's most recent outing with Norfolk last Thursday, the right-hander suffered the loss, surrendering four runs on nine hits in six innings against Gwinnett. Each of his last two starts have come with the Tides.

Before going on the disabled list, Tillman went 1-5 with a 10.46 ERA in seven starts with the Orioles. In 26.2 innings, the right-hander gave up 32 runs (31 earned) on 42 hits to go with 17 walks and 13 strikeouts.

Not the first time Tillman has suited up for the Keys, he pitched for the team last April 27 while recovering from right shoulder bursitis. Making the start in Potomac, the MLB veteran allowed six runs (four earned) on eight hits in five innings in a losing effort.

Signed to a one-year contract through the 2018 season, Tillman was originally acquired by the Orioles from the Mariners in February 2008 along with Adam Jones, Kameron Mickolio, George Sherrill and Tony Butler in exchange for Erik Bedard.

The Keys kickoff a four-game series with the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Monday night. Right-hander Matthias Dietz (0-1, 9.00) starts against Blue Rocks righty Gerson Garabito (3-6, 4.05). First pitch is at 7:00 p.m from Nymeo Field and the broadcast can be heard on frederickkeys.com and the TuneIn App.
