Woodbridge, VA- The Potomac Nationals are excited to host Autism Awareness Day at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium on Sunday, May 27th, the third game of a four-game series against the Winston-Salem Dash (Chicago White Sox).
Autism Awareness will be at the forefront of Sunday's game, as the players will don Autism Awareness jerseys, presented by Extreme Custom Collision. A silent auction for these puzzle piece themed jerseys will begin as soon as gates open at noon and will continue through the final out of the sixth inning. Fans who ultimately win the auction can take a photo after the game with the player or coach who wore the jersey during the game. All proceeds for the Autism Awareness jerseys benefit Autism Speaks. Also, fans will have a chance to win a Potomac Nationals team photo puzzle that will be raffled off during the game.

Sunday, May 27th is also Dr. Seuss Day at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium. In honor of the legendary children's book author, the ballpark will be divided up into nine of his most famous books, each one representing a player in the P-Nats' batting order. The first P-Nats player to hit a home run will win a free ticket, excluding July 4th, for the section that corresponds to that player.
Throughout the game, Dr. Seuss books will serve as prizes for fans to win, including the "guess how many Swedish Fish are in a jar" competition at Fan Assistance.
Dr. Seuss Day is also another Reading Program Day hosted by the Potomac Nationals. Students from local schools who have participated in Uncle Slam's Reading program will be invited out to the game to be recognized for their achievements in a pre-game parade.
The Potomac Nationals will celebrate Sun Safety Day, presented by American Cancer Society. While sun and skin cancer information will be presented to fans in attendance, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free sunscreen sample courtesy of Blue Lizard.
Sunday will be another Kids Day Sunday at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium. On Sunday home games throughout the season, kids can enjoy perks during the game, which include premium giveaways on select Sundays, post-game Kids Run the Bases by Glory Days Grill every Sunday, and post-game player autograph signings. This Sunday, the first 250 kids 12 and under will receive a free drink and hot dog, while all kids can have their face painted by Facing Angels in the concourse throughout the game.
Finally, fans can take advantage of Virginia529 Super Saver Sunday. If fans show their Virginia529 Smart Savers Club Card at the Ticket Office, they can receive two free grandstand tickets to the game.
First pitch between the P-Nats and the Winston-Salem Dash is at 1:05pm. Gates to the ballpark will open at 12:00pm.
