Fresno, California (Tuesday, August 27) - The Fresno Tacos (59-75) fell to the Tacoma Rainiers (59-74) 4-1 Tuesday evening from Chukchansi Park. Fresno finished 6-5 as the Tacos this season with a 2-0 mark on the road. Sean Nolin (6-3) relished the victory after seven stellar innings. He allowed two hits and struck out six. Wil Crowe (0-4) was tagged the decision after six strong frames. He didn't walk a batter and fanned a pair.
John Andreoli gave Tacoma a 1-0 lead in the first after a single, plating Braden Bishop. The Rainiers would notch another three runs the remainder of the contest with Eric Filia scoring twice and Jaycob Brugman driving in one. Matt Carasiti logged his fourth save after getting the final out with the bases-loaded.
Fresno mustered six singles in the game. Jake Noll was the only Tacos batter to reach twice (walk). Taylor Gushue provided the lone RBI and Wilmer Difo enjoyed the run. Josh Lucas hurled a scoreless seventh in his Fresno debut. The righty punched out two. Michael Blazek also had a shutout inning.

ON THAT FRES-NOTE: The 2017 Grizzlies' franchise record of 200 home runs is in peril; this year's club is ahead of the pace, tracking to hit 205 homers (196, six games left). While baseballs may be different this season, the 2017 PCL schedule was 142 games when Fresno led all of Minor League Baseball in home runs. The 2019 Grizzlies will play 140 games or fewer. Brandon Snyder and Yadiel Hernandez (30) are tied for fourth all-time on the single-season homer list, four behind A.J. Reed's mark in 2017.
