Hood's big night spoiled by Hooks' walk-off win

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (July 17, 2018) - Destin Hood homered again and drove in all three runs for the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, Tuesday night in a 4-3, walk-off loss to the Corpus Christi Hooks at Whataburger Field.
BIG MOMENTS
* Hood broke a scoreless tie with a two-run homer in the fifth, his second consecutive game with a homer and his sixth long ball in the last 11 games.
* With the game tied 2-2 in the ninth, Hood delivered again with a go-ahead sacrifice fly to put the Riders ahead 3-2.
* Corpus Christi won on a walk-off infield single in the bottom of the ninth.
* Relievers Anthony Gose and Adam Parks each worked out of big jams in the seventh and eighth innings to preserve a tie game. The two stranded five runners combined and Riders pitching left 14 Hooks on base overall.
