NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 25, 2018) - Ariel Jurado threw a complete-game, six-hit shutout for the Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, in a 2-0 win over the Arkansas Travelers Friday at Dickey-Stephens Park.
BIG MOMENTS
* Jurado fired just 86 pitches (63 strikes) to record the first complete game of his career. He only allowed multiple baserunners in an inning once and recorded 16 of his 27 outs on the ground. It was his first start since returning from his Major League debut with the Texas Rangers last Saturday.
* The Riders provided run support with an RBI triple from Preston Beck in the fourth and a RBI single off the bat of Michael De Leon two innings later.

NEWS AND NOTES
* Jurado registered the 19th nine-inning performance in Riders history Friday and the first since current Frisco pitcher Tyler Davis threw a complete-game, three-hit shutout in San Antonio last August.
* Jurado had fewer than 10 pitches in five of his nine innings, including a five-pitch fifth frame.
* The righty lowered his ERA to 2.05 in Friday's win, good for fourth-lowest among qualified Texas League pitchers.
