Kid-centric week ahead at Dr Pepper Ballpark

FRISCO, Texas (June 10, 2019) - Now that school is out, kids and their families have even more reason to enjoy summer nights at Dr Pepper Ballpark, especially with all the family fun on tap this week.
The kid-themed fun starts Wednesday with Splash Day, presented by Dippin' Dots. The 12:05 game features an assortment of inflatable water attractions set up around the ballpark, a perfect way for kids to beat the heat while enjoying the ballgame.
On Thursday, bring the family dog to the ballpark for the final Bark in the Park of the season, presented by Legacy Veterinary Hospital. During the event, the Street Dog Project will be on hand running a pet adoption event.
Saturday's game is the annual Scout Night and is also Space Night in honor of the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. As part of Space Night, there will be an interactive educational station for kids to learn more about space exploration.
The big week at the ballpark concludes Sunday with Crayola Experience Plano Night, during which the first 500 kids 12 & younger will receive a free jersey that they can color themselves. It's also the latest Kids Sunday Funday, which features pregame catch on the field and free kids tickets for members of the Riders Kids Club.
Another notable feature of the homestand is the first of three Strikeout Cancer Nights, presented by UT Southwestern Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center Friday at 7:05. The first 500 fans through the gates take home a free Strikeout Cancer t-shirt. After the game, the Riders invite fans to try and set a world record for most people simultaneously pinning awareness ribbons on one another.
In addition to these great nights, the homestand includes another set of back-to-back fireworks shows to start the weekend, with the latest installation of Fireworks Friday and Sky-Lit Saturday, presented by Lexus. A full rundown of the homestand is listed below.
Tuesday, June 11 vs. Tulsa - 7:05 p.m.
* Half Off For Hunger: Fans who bring canned food items to donate will receive half off select seats.

* Kids run the bases after the game
Wednesday, June 12 vs. Tulsa - 12:05 p.m.
* Splash Day, presented by Dippin' Dots: Inflatable water attractions will be set up all over the park to help kids beat the heat while they enjoy an afternoon of baseball.

* Texas Chili Company Weiner Wednesday, presented by Aaron's Furniture: Hot dogs are just $1 all game.
Thursday, June 13 vs. Tulsa - 7:05 p.m.
* Bark in the Park, presented by Legacy Veterinary Hospital: Bring your dog to the game and join the Street Dog Project for their adoption event that night at the ballpark.

* Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ The Yard: Be part of the BIGGEST party in North Texas, which includes $1 beers, a live DJ and a great social scene. Tickets start at just $10 and fans can upgrade their party by taking it to the lazy river for just $25 (fans 21 & older only).
* Thirsty Thursday: Quench your thirst with $1 domestic draft beers, $2 craft and imports, and $1 Dr Pepper products from 6-8 p.m.

Friday, June 14 vs. NW Arkansas - 7:05 p.m.
* Strikeout Cancer Night, presented by UT Southwestern Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center: Cancer…you're out! The Riders dedicate the night to raising funds and awareness to combat cancer. The first 500 fans receive a free Strikeout Cancer t-shirt.

* Fireworks Friday: Watch fireworks from the field after the game
Saturday, June 15 vs. NW Arkansas - 7:05 p.m.
* Scout Night: The Riders welcome Scouts from all over North Texas to the game
* Space Night: Learn all about outer space and space exploration with an interactive education station among other space-themed elements.
* Whataburger Food Bank Night: Bring canned food or cash to help the Riders and Whataburger support North Texas Food Bank. Those who donate will receive a coupon for a free Whataburger (while supplies last).
* Sky-Lit Saturday, presented by Lexus: Watch fireworks from the field after the game
Sunday, June 16 vs. NW Arkansas - 6:05 p.m.
* Crayola Experience Plano Night: The first 500 kids will receive a special jersey that they can decorate with Crayola crayons at a special craft station in the park.
* Kids Sunday Funday: Play catch on the field from 5:00-5:30 and enjoy our new Kids Zone throughout the game. Riders Kids Club members get a free ticket to all Sunday home games.

* Sunday's game airs live on Fox Sports Southwest

The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas.
