FRISCO, Texas (Nov. 28, 2017) - The Frisco RoughRiders, in conjunction with Toys for Tots, are proud to announce the second annual Winter Wonderland presented by Skinny IT is set for Friday, Dec. 8 from 5-10 p.m. at Dr Pepper Ballpark. The free-to-attend event is open to the public and features a number of family-friendly holiday-themed attractions, as well as the opportunity for fans to donate unwrapped toys to Toys for Tots.
Among the attractions this year at Winter Wonderland presented by Skinny IT:
- Santa and Mrs. Claus appearance (6-8 p.m.)
- Santa's Reindeer and Sleigh (6-10 p.m.)
- Carriage Rides around Dr Pepper Ballpark (6:30-9:30 p.m.)
- Vocal Magic carolers' performance (6-10 p.m.)
- Christmas movie classics on RiderVision video board
Fans are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys to the home plate gate, where Marines with Toys for Tots will help collect their donations. Riders Outpost is offering a 25% discount on all items, along with other in-store specials.
All concessions stand items are $1, including Dr Pepper products, beers, hot dogs, nachos, chips, popcorn, Cracker Jacks, coffee, and, of course, hot chocolate. Both the Primrose Schools and RoughRiders playgrounds will be open along with inflatables and games. Dr Pepper Ballpark gates open at 5 p.m.
About the RoughRiders
The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The team was founded in 2003 and has finished first among all Double-A franchises in attendance in each of the last 13 seasons (2005-2017). In August 2014, the RoughRiders were purchased by an ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg.
