The Greeneville Astros are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic individuals to become a part of the fan experience at Pioneer Park this summer. The on-field emcee will be an essential part of the game day staff, working hand in hand with the promotions crew to create an exciting atmosphere during games. Candidates should be high-energy and unafraid to speak in front of large crowds.
Those interested in being the Astros' mascot, Gizmo, should be able to interact with fans, be creative and spontaneous, and love to entertain.
The Astros will be holding auditions for their on-field emcee and mascot from May 3-10. Those interested can call the front office at (423) 638-0411 to schedule a time to audition. Game day staff positions are also currently open and applications can be picked up at the front office from 10-5, Monday through Friday.
Opening day for the 2017 season will be June 22nd at Pioneer Park against the Bluefield Blue Jays. Full season, half-season, and mini-plan memberships are available for purchase now. The Greeneville Astros are the Appalachian League affiliate of the Houston Astros. For more information, visit www.greenevilleastros.com or call (423) 638-0411.
