Generals and Suns rained out on Thursday

June 12, 2014

JACKSON, TENN. (JUNE 12, 2014) - The Generals and Suns 7:05 p.m. scheduled game on Thursday has been postponed due to rain. The two clubs will play a doubleheader on Friday. The twin bill will feature two seven-inning games, with game one beginning at 5:05 p.m. and game two to follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

Any fan with a ticket to Thursday's game may exchange it for any other game during the 2014 regular season. This was just the fourth rainout this season and Friday's doubleheader will be just the third of the season (2-2). Friday's doubleheader will be the first played this season at The Ballpark at Jackson.

The Generals will send to the mound RHP Matt Anderson (1-2, 5.83) in game one and RHP Victor Sanchez (2-2, 4.82) in game two. Jacksonville will start LHP Chipper Smith (2-1, 1.84) in game one and LHP Justin Nicolino (5-2, 3.29) in the nightcap.
