Pioneer League MVP makes return to GJ For Winter Caravan

MVP Dahl making return to GJ for Winter Caravan

(Grand Junction, CO) - The first annual Grand Junction Rockies Winter Caravan will feature Pioneer League MVP and National short-season Rookie of the Year, (Baseball America) David Dahl. The Colorado Rockies 2012 number-one draft choice will join GJR front office personnel along with official mascot, CORKY, as the caravan moves through six western slope communities during a three day period. "We want to reach out to our fan base and say thank you," said Tim Ray, Grand Junction Rockies General Manager. "This minor league baseball franchise belongs to the entire western slope along with the state of Colorado and eastern Utah." The GJR Winter Caravan will be a traditional meet and greet with plenty of autographs and door prizes for the fans. The Winter Caravan will begin January 24, in Montrose and conclude on the 26th in Grand Junction. The schedule is as follows: Thursday, January 24, @ Horsefly Brewing Co. (Montrose) 5:00pm-6:30pm @ CB's Tavern (Delta) 7:00pm-8:30pm Friday, January 25, @ Colorado Mountain College (Rifle) 5:00pm-6:30pm @ Big Daddy's Sports Bar (Glenwood Springs) 7:00pm-8:30pm Saturday, January 26, @ Rib City Grill (Fruita) 5:00pm-6:30pm @ Ale House (Grand Junction) 7:00pm-8:30pm All GJR Winter Caravan stops are free and open to the public.
