50% of the gross proceeds benefit the Michigan Baseball Foundation. 50% goes towards the Chase the Ace Rolling Grand Prize Jackpot. $100 is awarded as a consolation prize if the Ace of Diamonds is not drawn.
Updates are available at any of the handheld selling units, at the monitor located at Guest Services, or periodically on the Dow Diamond videoboard.
25 for $5, 50 for $10, 100 for $20
Up to three sellers with handheld units will sell at every Great Lakes Loons game. Additionally, a stationary sales kiosk will be located at Guest Services. Sales begin when gates open and will run until the middle of the 7th inning. Once sales conclude, a winning number will be announced on the Dow Diamond videoboard, accompanied by a public address announcement. The winner will be asked to immediately proceed to Guest Services. Upon arriving, the winner will sign a field activity waiver and at the end of the 8th inning will draw for the Ace of Diamonds on the field. If the winner draws the Ace of Diamonds, they will automatically win the rolling pot. If the winner does not draw the Ace of Diamonds, they will win the consolation prize and the pot will roll over to the next game and the drawn card will be posted in the viewing case. Prior to the end of the Loons home season, staff will make a determination if the rolling pot will be given away at the last game of the year under normal raffle rules or if the raffle will continue on into the offseason with drawing dates taking place on a pre-determined day of the week until the Ace of Diamonds is drawn. Offseason house rules will be posted on the first day of raffle sales in the offseason.
If a game is canceled before raffle sales are set to begin, no raffle will take place and the rolling pot will continue to the next day. If a game is canceled after sales have begun, sales will end immediately at the time of cancellation, a winning number will be announced, and normal drawing procedures will take place. If the winner of the raffle does not come forward by the end of the 8th inning for a normally scheduled raffle, then an independent third party will draw for the Ace of Diamonds card. The person with the winning raffle ticket will still receive the rolling pot if the Ace of Diamonds is drawn.
Redemption Claim Period
The winning ticket number will be announced during the allotted times on the raffle license. However, if the winning ticket is not presented, the number will be posted on Loons.com and can be redeemed up to 60 days after the raffle date for both the daily payout and the rolling pot if the Ace of Diamonds was drawn by the independent third party.
If any ticket is sold after the winning ticket has already been drawn, a full refund will be issued to the purchaser.
Must be 18 years old or older to purchase. Full-time, salaried employees and hourly employees of the Great Lakes Loons, ESPN 100.9 FM, Michigan Baseball Foundation, and Professional Sports Catering are not eligible to purchase raffle tickets. Hourly employees who were not on the clock at any point during the day of the drawing are eligible.
