MIDLAND, Mich. - While there's still over a month to go before teams across Minor League Baseball return to the field on April 4th, 2019, preparations for a jam-packed promotional schedule for the upcoming Great Lakes Loons season are complete!
The team starts their quest for a second Midwest League Championship on the road against the Lake County Captains on Thursday, April 4th. The fun in Midland begins two days later!
We kick off things off with our Opening Day Celebration against the Captains on Saturday, April 6th at 4:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Magnet Schedule, presented by Farm Bureau Insurance. But, that's just the tip of the iceberg.
We've outlined all of our plans for what we think is going to be the best season of fun, family-friendly entertainment and giveaways we've ever put together. We're taking things to the nest level this year!
You've already heard about our Celebrity Series presented by MidMichigan Health with five actors and entertainers visiting Midland this summer. The ticket package that offers you a commemorative series card and guarantees autographs during all five games is on sale now. You've also seen news about some of our specialty jerseys we'll be wearing in 2019 and the new weekly specials we have planned for every day of the week.
Everyone loves the Fireworks Loontaculars following some of our biggest nights of the season. This year, 13 shows in all will light up the skies above the outfield grass including three in June, four in July and five in August.
With all that fun in the pipeline, there's still so much more we want to share with you! Below, you'll find the nine live music acts we have planned for Feel Good Fridays presented by Midland Center for the Arts, the 12 days of giveaways we're offering throughout the season, the 12 different themes we have slotted for 14 days beginning in June, four different national entertainment acts, and over 20 other dates you should look at to see if you should make a note on your personal calendar!
