GreenJackets Release 2017 Game Times
AUGUSTA, GA - The Augusta GreenJackets, Single "A" Affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have released game start times for all 70 home games for the 2017 Season.
Opening Night, presented by Augusta University Health, is Thursday, April 13th at 7:05 PM against the Columbia Fireflies (New York Mets) and will serve as a kick-off of the GreenJackets' 29th consecutive season in the CSRA.
Monday through Friday games will begin at 7:05 PM, with four exceptions. The GreenJackets will be hosting two "Baseball and Education Day Games" they will be held at 10:35 AM on Wednesday, April 19th and Tuesday, May 16th. "Super Splash Day" will begin at 12:05 PM on Wednesday, June 28th.
For the fifth year straight, the GreenJackets will be home to host their Independence Day Extravaganza (July 4th) presented by Spirit Communications. The July 4th game will start at 6:35 PM as the Columbia Fireflies (New York Mets) come to town.
The GreenJackets are starting a new tradition Memorial Day Weekend as the Sunday game time will be at 6:35 PM and will be followed by a Mega Memorial Day Fireworks Show!
Back by popular demand, in an effort to accommodate families throughout the CSRA, the GreenJackets have announced that start times for Saturday home games will be at 6:05 PM just like in the 2016 season.
Sunday home games in the months of April and early May will start at 2:05 PM. Sunday home games starting Memorial Day Weekend will begin at 5:05 PM.
All told, ten of a possible thirteen South Atlantic League opponents will be stopping by Lake Olmstead Stadium. Greensboro (Miami Marlins), Hickory (Texas Rangers) and Lakewood (Philadelphia Philies) are the three teams not visiting Augusta in 2017.
