Augusta, GA-The Augusta GreenJackets scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning Friday night. It turned out to be the difference in a 6-3 victory over the Asheville Tourists at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The victory improved the GreenJackets to 22-41 on the season and 7-4 in their last eleven games.  
The inning began with the score tied at three and Jean Angomas hitting his second triple of the game. With one out, Jacob Heyward singled him in to put the GreenJackets on top. Heyward advanced to third on a bunt single by Frandy De La Rosa. De La Rosa advanced to second on a throwing error. With two outs, Michael Bernal hit a single, scoring both to make it 6-3 GreenJackets.
The GreenJackets fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first but answered back in the bottom of the frame. Cristian Paulino led off with a bunt single. He came in to score on Angomas' first triple to tie the game. Kelvin Beltre followed with a sacrifice fly to score Paulino and give the GreenJackets the lead.
Another run was added by the GreenJackets in the third when De La Rosa singled home Beltre making it 3-1. The Tourists responded and pushed across a pair of runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game at three.
Raffi Vizcaino turned in another solid start on the mound for the GreenJackets. He gave up just three runs off of six hits and struck out six in five and two thirds innings. He improved to 2-0 on the season in just two starts. Jose Morel came on in relief and struck out the only batter he faced to end the sixth. Greg Brody followed with a scoreless frame in the seventh and Nolan Riggs threw a scoreless eighth. Riggs came back out for the ninth. He got the first two out and then walked back to back Tourist hitters before Wilson Santos came on make the last out and record the save.
The GreenJackets will be back in action Saturday evening for game two of their three game series with the Tourists. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00pm with the gates opening at 4:30pm for a special pregame concert by Jon Rooks as part of the Saturday Concert Series. It is Play Ball Weekend featuring a guest kid PA Announcer, On Field Host and more. It is also one hit wonder night featuring one hit wonder songs being played in the stadium throughout the night. After the game, there will be spectacular fireworks show as well as kids ages 12 and under getting to run the bases.
Caleb Baragar (0-5, 5.03) will start on the mound for the GreenJackets against Antonio Santos (3-5, 4.43) for the Tourists.
