GreenJackets Take Two of Three from Braves

Augusta, GA-The GreenJackets pitching staff combined for fifteen strikeouts Wednesday night in a 4-1 victory in the rubber match of a three-game series with the Rome Braves at Lake Olmstead Stadium. With the victory, the GreenJackets completed the seven game homestand with a 5-2 record.
The GreenJackets got the offense going when Jose Vizcaino was hit by pitch with one out in the bottom of the second.
The GreenJackets will be back in action Thursday night for game one of a four-game series against the Asheville Tourists at McCormick Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.
The GreenJackets will return to the Lake on Tuesday August 15 for a three-game series with the Columbia Fireflies. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm with the gates opening at 6:00pm. It is Richmond County Community Night as well as Tuesday Brewsday featuring half-price off all beverages.
