The no-hitter was a joint effort from righty Mason Englert (6-4, 3.59) and fellow righty Theo McDowell (5-2, 2.61). Englert secured the win after tossing seven innings and striking out six batters. McDowell struck out two batters but picked up his first save of the season.

The first run of the night came by Keybar Rodriguez off a wild pitch from Drive pitcher Wyatt Olds.

The opposing club struck again in the top of the fourth on a sacrifice fly that plated Alenjadro Osuna.

Hickory’s Evan Carter smashed a deep solo home run over the right field fence in the seventh inning to further the Crawdad’s lead 3-0.

Carter tacked on another run in the ninth inning by batting in Jayce Easley to win the game 4-0.
