Greensboro, NC - One night after being blown out by the Greenville Drive, the Greensboro Grasshoppers got their revenge on Thursday night, defeating the Drive 5-1 to even the series at one game apiece.
The Grasshoppers (13-12, 50-43) pitching was dominant in the game, as three pitchers combined to strike out 17 hitters and hold the Drive (13-13, 54-41) to just four hits. Ethan Clark (2-1) led the charge by punching out 10 over five and one-third scoreless innings to get the win.

Brian Miller served as the offensive catalyst for Greensboro. His RBI single in the third off Bryan Mata put the Grasshoppers ahead 1-0, and he blasted a two-run homer in the fifth to finish the game with two hits and three RBI.
James Nelson and Trenton Hill each drove home runs for the Grasshoppers as well.
Granger Studdard collected two of the Drive's four hits in the game, while Tyler Hill's RBI groundout in the eighth plated the only run of the evening.
The three-game series concludes on Friday night at 7:00 in Greensboro. The Drive will send left-hander Darwinzon Hernandez (2-1, 3.59) to the mound in the finale, while the Grasshoppers will counter with right-hander Michael King (8-5, 3.18).
