The Greenville Drive are bidding farewell to one of the team's top players over the past two seasons, as outfielder Lorenzo Cedrola has been traded to the Cincinnati Reds organization in exchange for international amateur signing bonus pool space.
Cedrola served as the leadoff hitter for most of the 2017 SAL Championship season, and despite missing the postseason due to injury, he was an integral part of the roster. The Venezuela native hit .285 over 92 games with four homers, 34 RBI and 19 stolen bases.
The 20 year-old returned to Greenville this season and put up more solid numbers. His 2018 campaign with the Drive ends with a .318 average and 10 stolen bases in 50 games.

Cedrola is the first Drive player to be traded in-season since pitcher Anderson Espinoza was dealt to the San Diego Padres on July 14th, 2016.
