Comcast Hometown Network to air 10 Grizzlies games

Network to broadcast Grizzlies games for the third consecutive season

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Grizzlies and Comcast have announced Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104) to live broadcast 10 of the Grizzlies home games during the 2013 season. The broadcast schedule kicks off with the Grizzlies' season opener on Thursday, April 4.

The partnership between the two organizations allows more fans from across Northern and Central California region to view the Triple-A affiliate of the 2010 and 2012 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants. Comcast Hometown Network (CHN) broadcasted 10 Grizzlies games in 2012 and five games in 2011.

CHN begins its live broadcasts of Grizzlies games with Opening Weekend. In addition to Opening Day on April 4, the Grizzlies' Friday, April 5 will air live on CHN. Other games to be shown on CHN include the Grizzlies' four-game series against the New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins) from May 16-19 and the four-game set against the Tacoma Rainiers (Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners) from July 18-21.

Voice of the Grizzlies, Doug Greenwald, will once again serve as the play-by-play announcer for nine of the 10 games on CHN. Joe Castellano will partner with Greenwald as the game's color commentator for the games in May and July. Greenwald and Castellano worked together for the majority of the Grizzlies games on CHN during the 2012 season.

CHN, Digital Channel 104, covers the greater Northern and Central California region and broadcasts to more than 2 million cable homes in the San Francisco, Sacramento, Fresno, Monterey, and Chico markets. Including the 10 Grizzlies games, CHN will exclusively produce and air 20 Single-A Advanced San Jose Giants games during the 2013 season. In addition, CHN will LIVE broadcast the Single-A All-Star Game between the CAL League and Carolina League. After the initial live broadcast, all games will be available for cable customers to view any time through Comcast On Demand Channel 1.
