Farm Grown Friday, Crawford bobblehead among homestand promos

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Grizzlies return to Chukchansi Park this Thursday to kick off a four-game homestand against the Salt Lake Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, from June 27-June 30.

Chukchansi Park will host Bacon vs. Tofu Night, presented by FresnoBeehive.com, on Thursday, June 27. It is #teambacon vs. #teamtofu that will face off in a food throwdown to determine which is the best food item, bacon or tofu. Benaddiction and Eat Street Bistro will lead Team Bacon and Team Tofu, respectively, by cooking a special food item for fans to vote on and choose the best between bacon and tofu. There will also be a judges' choice champion in addition to the people's choice. Batter Up Pancakes will hold an eating contest with bacon and tofu pancakes. Each winner from the eating contests will receive two tickets to a San Francisco Giants game.

Along with Bacon vs. Tofu Night, it is Tecate Thursday at Chukchansi Park. Come and enjoy $2 24 oz. Tecate and Tecate Light beer through the fifth inning and $1 sodas all game long. Be sure not to miss Thursday's live band, "Pocket Money" who will provide live pre-game music in the Tecate Cantina, sponsored by New Rock 104.1. Come out and see the dancing grounds crew at Chukchansi Park. The Drag Kings, presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, will perform during Thursday's game. First pitch is at 7:05 pm.

This Friday, June 28, at Chukchansi Park is Farm Grown Friday, which includes a Farmer's Market and Farm Forum. It is also Health & Wellness Night along with a post-game fireworks show, sponsored by PG&E. Friday's Farm Forum will take place at 5 pm in The CRU Club with guest speakers Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims, Mike Chapman, and Floyd Hager. The Farm Forum topic this week is "Ag Crime Prevention and Drone Surveillance Technology." The Grizzlies will wear their orange alternate jerseys for Farm Grown Friday and fans are encouraged to wear orange as well. Game starts at 7:05 pm.

Saturday, June 29, will mark the second of four Farm Grown bobblehead giveaways for the 2013 season. Saturday's bobblehead giveaway, presented by Kuckenbecker Tractor Co., will feature former Fresno Grizzlies player and current Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford. Gates open at 6:05 pm. and the first 2,000 general admission fans into Chukchansi Park will receive a Brandon Crawford bobblehead.

The Drag Kings, presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, will perform on Saturday night. Chukchansi Park will also host Golf Night at the Ballpark, which includes various group packages. There will be raffle prizes and a silent auction to benefit The First Tee of Fresno. First pitch is at 7:05 pm.

Sunday, June 30th kicks off with Family Catch on the Field one hour prior to first pitch. Come and enjoy some catch with family and friends on the field where Future Giants are grown. Also before the Sunday's game, there will be Stauffer's Animal Cracker Pre-Game Parade for kids 12 and under as well as the Future Giants and Parker Autograph Session. After the game, there will be Kids Run The Bases, presented by popchips.
