Star Wars & Springfield: Grizz pop-culture legends homestand begins 6/17

FRESNO, Calif. - The sixth and longest Fresno Grizzlies homestand of the 2017 season, the franchise's 20th, is scheduled for June 17 to 29, with 12 games against the El Paso Chihuahuas (San Diego Padres), Sacramento River Cats (San Francisco Giants) and Albuquerque Isotopes (Colorado Rockies). Tickets may be purchased at the Chukchansi Park box office, or anytime at FresnoGrizzlies.com. Here is a preview of the promotional schedule:
Saturday, June 17 (7:05 p.m.) - Star Wars Night, presented by Card City: This promotional schedule staple will feature a record-number of movie quality costumed characters from the 501st Legion Central California Garrison. Make sure your phone is charged for all the photo ops. Star Wars music and lightsaber battles on the field will fill Chukchansi Park throughout the game, and all fans are encouraged to wear their Star Wars gear and/or costume. Over 40 costumed characters will be at the ballpark.  "Force For The Cure" has also returned for this year's event, as proceeds from each ticket purchased online will be donated to Susan G. Komen Central Valley, to aid breast cancer research. Use promo code SUSAN when buying tickets online for special Force For The Cure ticket packs.

Sunday, June 18 (5:05 p.m.) - Father's Day BBQ: A special 90-minute all-you can eat ticket package is available for just $35 per two tickets, which includes the food and admission to the game, a big-time deal! Father's Day BBQ tickets can be purchased in person at the Chukchansi Park ticket office, or at the homepage of FresnoGrizzlies.com (select "Super View" to purchase). The all-you can-eat buffet will take place from 4:05 to 5:35 in the Tecate Cantina on the third base/left field side of the ballpark (includes hot dogs, burgers and pulled pork), with seats in the "Super View" second level of Chukchansi Park.  Save Mart Sunday: Bring your Save Mart receipt or show the Save Smart app at the box office to get $5 off each regular ticket (up to 8 tickets). Grizzlies player autograph session (pre-game), Kids Run the Bases presented by Sun-Maid (post-game).  Father's Day catch on the field pre-game: Fans may play catch in right field at Chukchansi Park from 4:05 to 4:25 p.m. prior to Sunday's game.  
Monday, June 19 & June 26 (7:05 p.m.) - Monday Madness presented by The Fresno Bee: 2 Field Level Reserve tickets, 2 hot dogs, 2 sodas, 2 Fresno Chaffee Zoo vouchers and 2 Pieology pizza or salad vouchers, all for just $22! Available for purchase at the Chukchansi Park ticket office (available online as well, Zoo and Pieology vouchers must be picked up at ticket office if purchased online).
Tuesday, June 20 & 27 (7:05 p.m.) - Toyota Taco Tuesday: For the sixth and seventh time this season, the Grizzlies will become their alter ego and play in the new-for-2017 Fresno Tacos jerseys. All the great Taco Tuesday deals are back: 2-for-1 Field Box and 940 ESPN Club tickets, $2 tacos, $2 sodas and $2 churros. New for 2017: $2 Taco Tots! Enjoy the newest food creation at Chukchansi Park; tater tots smothered in all of your favorite street taco ingredients. (All specials run through the 5th inning.)

Saturday, June 24 (DOUBLEHEADER, 5:05 p.m.) - Madison Bumgarner arm-wrestling a Grizzly Bear: No, not literally (although maybe it's happened). In the continuing celebration of the Fresno Grizzlies' 20th Anniversary Season this one-of-a-kind collectible of an all-time great Grizzly is only available through the purchase of a seven-game mini plan or half-season tickets. The giveaway will be available for the first time on this date.  

Wednesday, June 28 (7:05 p.m.) - Hump Day: Well drinks will be just $4 and wine specials for $2 until the end of the 5th inning. Fans can take advantage of these deals during every Wednesday home game in 2017.
Thursday, June 29 (7:05 p.m.) - Tribute to Springfield: Help us close out the longest homestand of the 2017 season by celebrating pop-culture juggernaut The Simpsons on Tribute to Springfield night. The Grizzlies will wear special Springfield-themed uniforms, and the game-worn jerseys will be available in a silent auction on the concourse during the game, benefiting the Grizzlies Community Fund. Winning bidders will be able to collect their jerseys, autographed, right from the players on the field after the game. The caps will be available for purchase in the Fresno Grizzlies team store. A The Simpsons-themed art show, part of Downtown Fresno's typical "Art Hop" event the last Thursday of each month, will take place at Chukchansi Park in the Tecate Cantina on the third base/left field side of the ballpark before and during the game. Additional Fresno Grizzlies "Springfield"-themed merchandise will be available in the team store, and a special "Simpsonized" Fresno Grizzlies card set will be given away at the gate, while supplies last.
