Gosselin, Jaime Named International League All-Stars

Gwinnett's Phil Gosselin and Juan Jaime will represent the IL in the Triple-A All-Star Game

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - In an announcement made today by the International League, Gwinnett Braves' infielder Phil Gosselin and reliever Juan Jaime have been selected to participate in the 27th Annual Triple-A All-Star Game, set to take place on Wednesday, July 16 in Durham, NC. It is the first career minor league All-Star Game selection for both players.

Gosselin and Jaime are slated to represent the International League as they face off against the Pacific Coast League at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The game will be broadcast live from DBAP on MLB Network, the American Forces Network, and the Triple-A All-Star Game Radio Network beginning at 7:00 PM ET.

Gosselin, 25, heads to his first Triple-A All-Star Game as one of 17 players selected by the IL office. The right-handed hitting infielder is in the midst of an impressive sophomore campaign with Gwinnett, ranking fourth in the league in hitting with a .320 batting average as of July 3. The West Chester, PA native also ranks among league leaders in hits (T-1st, 98), doubles (T-5th, 20), total bases (7th, 133) and runs scored (T-7th, 45).

Jaime, 26, was also selected for his first Triple-A All-Star Game by the IL office. The right-handed reliever has enjoyed a stellar Triple-A debut with Gwinnett this season, going 1-0 with a 2.30 ERA (7 ER in 27.2 IP) and 13 saves in 28 games. As of July 2, he ranks second in the league in games finished (26) and fifth in saves. Jaime has also made his Major League debut in 2014, going 0-0 with a 2.25 ERA (1 ER in 4.0 IP) in four outings with the Atlanta Braves from June 20-26.

The Gwinnett Braves open a two-game road series against the Durham Bulls at Durham Bulls Athletic Park tonight, first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM. Right-hander Yunesky Maya (3-1, 2.17) will get the start for Gwinnett, while right-hander Alex Colome (3-1, 3.54) is scheduled to start for the Bulls.
