The 2014 season starts with a bang - literally - on Opening Night, Friday, April 11. After the conclusion of the 7:05 PM game against Durham, fans will be treated to the first Friday Fireworks display of the season. The sky over Coolray Field will light up nine more times throughout the year, including May 2, May 23, June 6, June 20, June 27, July 4 (Independence Day), July 18, August 8 and August 29.

Opening Weekend also includes the G-Braves T-Shirt Giveaway presented by Georgia Power (first 2,000 fans) on April 11 and the Magnet Schedule Giveaway (first 2,000 fans) on April 12. Additionally on April 12, former Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones will make a special appearance at Coolray Field. Jones, who had his No. 10 retired at Turner Field last season following his legendary 19-year Major League career, will be on hand to throw out the first pitch prior to the 7:05 PM game against Durham.

Jones won't be the only legend of Braves Country to visit Coolray Field in 2014. On Saturday, July 19, the G-Braves will host former Atlanta Braves outfielder and current co-host of "Good Day Atlanta" on Fox 5 Atlanta, Ron Gant. That night, the first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive the Ron Gant Bobblehead Giveaway presented by Coolray and WAGA-TV Fox 5.

Gant is one of three Braves players to be immortalized in bobblehead form this season. Former G-Braves stars and current Atlanta Braves rotation-mates Mike Minor and Julio Teheran will also receive the bobblehead treatment, with Minor Bobbleheads going out to the first 2,000 fans on Saturday, June 7 and Teheran Bobbleheads slated for the first 2,000 fans on Saturday, July 5. Also, Chopper the Groundhog Bobble-Banks will be distributed to the first 2,000 fans on June 28th sponsored by Delta Community Credit Union.

Other notable giveaways include a Fleece Blanket sponsored by Coolray (April 19), Mister Fan sponsored by Coolray (May 17), Pint Glass sponsored by Dave & Buster's (May 24), Soccer Ball sponsored by Coolray (World Cup/Soccer Day, June 29), Tin Lunch Box sponsored by Georgia Power (Back to School Night, August 2) and a Football sponsored by Gwinnett Medical Center (Football Night, August 9).

Celebrities from beyond the baseball world are headed to Coolray Field in May and June. On Friday, May 23, the Atlanta-based mascot group, The Fur Circus, comes to the ballpark. Splash, Buddy and Miles will put on a show all night during the 7:05 PM game against Norfolk. Mountain Man, from A&E's wildly-popular series "Duck Dynasty," makes an appearance on Friday, June 20 for "Outdoors Night." World Wrestling Entertainment legend Sgt. Slaughter pays the G-Braves a visit on Friday, June 27 for "Military Appreciation Night."

The Gwinnett Braves will twice don specialty jerseys to raise money for charities in 2014. On Saturday, June 7, G-Braves' players and coaches will wear alternate jerseys sponsored by Gwinnett Medical Center. All jerseys will be auctioned off during the game, with proceeds going to Gwinnett Medical Center's non-profit foundation. On Friday, June 27, the G-Braves will once again wear Kipper Tool Camouflage Jerseys for "Military Appreciation Night." All Camouflage Jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds benefitting the Fisher House Foundation for military families.
