ROCHESTER, NY - The Rochester Red Wings (59-57) scored seven runs over a two inning span to defeat the Gwinnett Stripers (67-48) by a 7-4 score Thursday night in the final of the three-game series at Frontier Field. Pedro Florimón hit a two-run homer in the second to highlight Gwinnett's offense.

Scoring Recap: Gwinnett took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on an RBI single by Andrés Blanco. Florimon (8) made it 3-0 in the second with a two-run homer to right center off Griffin Jax. Drew Waters pushed the lead to 4-0 with a two out RBI single to right in the top of the fourth. However, in the bottom of the fourth, Gwinnett starter Touki Toussaint gave up a two-run homer to Willin Rosario (17) and an RBI single to Zander Weil to trim the lead to 4-3. In the fifth, an RBI single by Rosario tied the game at 4-4. Later in the inning, Alejandro De Aza gave Rochester the lead with a two-run double to center to make it 6-4 and a ground out to first by Tomás Telis pushed across the final run of the game. 
Stripers Stats: Toussaint (L, 1-3) went 4.1 innings with five hits, seven earned runs, and eight strikeouts. Huascar Ynoa worked the final 3.2 innings with no runs and four strikeouts. Waters was 2-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI. Florimon went 1-for-1 with a two-run homer. 
Red Wings Stats: Jax (W, 1-0) in his Triple-A debut, went 6.0 innings with eight hits and four earned runs. Ryan Eades (S, 3) went 1.1 scoreless innings for the save. At the plate, Rosario was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs. De Aza was 2-for-4 with a run, two doubles and two RBIs.
Postgame Notes: The Stripers lost a series for the first time since June 28 when they were swept in a two-game series at Charlotte. Waters, in his Triple-A debut, is 5-for-14 with two RBIs. The Stripers maintain a 2.5 game lead over Durham in the International League South Division standings.
